Welcome to Sisters Spellbound

Spoken Words Are Magic

We believe in the power of the spoken word - whispered or shouted. If you look back to the practices of ancient people who worked with magic as a part of their lives, the spoken word has power. Ancient Irish poetry, called Rosc, could be a form of battle magic. Galdor spells in Old English, Old German, and Old Norse were used to heal or protect. The power lies in the sound as well as the meaning. Let's explore ancient Ogham, the native Irish alphabet, and its sounds and meanings. We'll dive into poetry - ancient and modern - to unleash the spoken word. stories, tales, myths, and legends - originally for oral tradition - are most vibrant when heard aloud.

Let's weave our magic on the wind - bringing the sounds of the old ways back to our modern lives to better connect with the spirits and energy and land we live on.

Your Journey, My Journey

Your Journey, My Journey

Your Journey, My Journey

Your journey is your own. Nothing here guarantees you will have the same experiences, same outcomes, same anything - this information is based on personal research and gnosis. Your mileage may vary and you are responsible for your own choices and results.

Recognition

Your Journey, My Journey

Your Journey, My Journey

We live on the sacred lands of the Puyallup tribe in the pacific northwest and we recognize that these are not our ancestral lands. We give thanks to the land, the people, the animals, and the energy with whom we share space.

We also recognize we are not indiginous to Ireland, England, or Scandinavia, despite our ancestral heritage. We give thanks and honor to the heritage and the people who captured the rich folklore and mythology we draw from.

Animism

Your Journey, My Journey

Animism

We recognize that there are other beings on this earth besides humans who have a right to be here. We recognize they have their own spirit and energy and we are grateful to share space with them. The earth and its inhabitants are not here to enrich us.
