The Morrigan

The Morrigan

The Morrigan

The Morrigan

The Morrigan

The Morrigan

Fly With The Badb

What Shall The Crow Bestow

What Shall The Crow Bestow

What Shall The Crow Bestow

Shiny token, gleaming silver, a gift for the Queen of the sharp-eyed crows

Bright coin, smooth pebble, spiral shell, into Her talon

Token offered, token taken, offering made, what do you seek from Her

Prophesied words, battle guide, dread protector

What shall the Crow bestow?

Night Raven Woman

What Shall The Crow Bestow

What Shall The Crow Bestow

Night Raven Woman, blackened wing, voice of the Darkness

Call of the Badb, circling the ford, chanting from the hills

Standing at the Doorway, Above and Below and Within and Without, She calls to you

She demands, She waits

On the wind, hear Her call

Scavenge the Bones

What Shall The Crow Bestow

Scavenge the Bones

War poet

Inciter of heroes

rousing the blood

Badb Catha

Are you Cathuboduâ?

Are you Boudica?

Are you my Night Raven, my hÚath?

Scavenge the bones

wash the bloody armor

See the future with one eye

Omen's Call

Omen's Call

Scavenge the Bones

Red mouth

white lady

battle voice

shriek of crows

Omen's call

warning and watching

the Badb of war

Otherworld crone

one-eyed, one-footed

speaker of tidings

and gore

Phantom

Omen's Call

Phantom

Phantom

across the field

among the stone

atop the hillfort

Phantom

on the wing

on the limb

on the wind

Phantom

with her sisters

with herself

with the slain

Unnamed

Omen's Call

Phantom

Words shouted

into flaying wind

from the mountaintop

hailstone of sound

magic spoken

rain of fire

confounding clouds

miring mists

battle sorcerer

rally your warriors

reach skyward

with words sharpened

down the calamity

upon their heads

tendrils grasping

holding fast

Macha, Nemain, Anu/Anand, Morrigú

A Rosc for Macha

When Unjust Kings Rule

A Rosc for Macha

Thundering Mother

mother of pangs

pains of pride befall

swiftness spoken

Speak truth and power

power of Self

Sovereignty proclaimed

Proffered prophesy

prophetic wordsmith

words gallop

cantering chants

enchanting foes

forlorn forsaken

fiercely casting

cursing calamity

I Wait

When Unjust Kings Rule

A Rosc for Macha

In the Cave of the Cats

In the darkness

In the womb

I wait

Perhaps

I make no promises

Except those I bind to

A bargain made

A vow uttered

But find me?

Not very hard

For the patient and true

In between

In the space

In the darkness

An eel’s skin

A she-wolf’s pelt

A crow’s sheen

Markers on the trail

A flash of red

A cunning smile

When Unjust Kings Rule

When Unjust Kings Rule

When Unjust Kings Rule

 Horse flesh, muscled steel

War maker, calling the crows

Sovereignty of the land

When unjust kings rule

We call your power and speed

to tumble down the wicked

Return the land

to those who love it

pillagers face the carrion

A Garden for Macha

Peace Prophecy - Lyrics

When Unjust Kings Rule

I sought a way to give special thanks to Macha and through ogham divination, She told me she wanted a garden. Here are the plants selected to honor Her:

Red Clover

Chamomile

Coltsfoot

Horseradish

Harebell

Wild Chevril (cow parsley)

Rosebay Willow herb

Meadowsweet

All are native to Ulster.

Peace Prophecy - Lyrics

Peace Prophecy - Lyrics

Peace Prophecy - Lyrics

Inspired by the Morrigan’s peace prophecy as translated by Isolde Carmody

Peace to the Heavens

Heaven to the Earth

Earth under Heavens

Strength in each word

I see your cup full of honey,

sweet mead satisfied.

I see you shielded, guarded,

protecting us all.

I see your grandkids playing

in forests, farms, full and happy

city trees laden with fruit.

I see wood for fires, warmth for all.

Fire from a stone, Stone from the Earth, Riverbanks alive with song.

Grey deer before spring, autumn grows the corn. Flocks fill the land, the land meets the shore.

Land cradled wild and new

what is my vision - I give it to you.

Peace to the heavens

eternal peace for all

peace to the heavens

hear the crow’s call.
