Not everyone is religious or connected to deity, so there may be readers asking why this book is focused on Goddesses (and Goddess-like figures, such as The Muses, Medusa, etc.). For me, I am finding great comfort and connection in troubling times from exploring the Divine Feminine. Frankly, the world that I live in, in my view, is, and has been for a very long time, Why Goddesses? Not everyone is religious or connected to deity, so why a poetry book focused on Goddesses (and Goddess-like figures, such as The Muses, Medusa, etc.). For me, I am finding great comfort and connection in troubling times from exploring the spectrum of the Divine Feminine. Frankly, the world is lop-sided in its view around the role of gender in society. The diversity of the world is its strength, not its weakness. My goal for this work is to share with the reader Goddesses they may not know, in case their messages resonate for you, and you wish to seek them out and read their stories for yourself. You'll find Warriors, Protectors, Sages, Comics, Dancers, Creators, Dreamers, Vengeance Seekers, Healers, and Scribes - in short, a Goddess for good times and bad. Come meet some new faces. For those who walk with the Goddess already, I hope these Triads serve as a toolkit for when you need a little inspiration, a little sip of righteous anger, a little salve for open wounds, a little sparkle of laughter and joy, a quiet prayer in the darkness.
